Post I am losing hope....
Almost 6 months now and chronic prostititis is still impacting me. The flomax fixed the urinary issues but the lower back pain and pain after masturbating and sex still occurs. Some days are good but now I don't know if it's my anxiety causing this to continue or something worse than prostatitis.i am 36 and had DRE and even had lower back x rayed but nothing other than a boggy prostate. When should I be concerned it's something like cancer? I see the uro again Tuesday which is good but also creating anxiety. Any suggestions? I thought masturbating was supposed to make things better but not for me apparently

That's why I believe it's a muscle issue, it gets worse after ejaculating due to the pelvic tension during orgasm

If itvis an infection masterbating and sex will help flush the infected matter from the prostate. If it is cpps (most cases are) masterbating will aggravate the condition. An orgasm is basically just a very strong muscle contraction which will aggravate the surrounding sensitive muscles, nerves, prostate etc.

Many patients report a worsening of the symptoms after sex/masturbation. In another forum someone said it was like yelling with a sore throat.
