Doctors who help (in your area)
Hey guys,
I realize many of us are in desperate need of medical attention from time to time, especially when the symptoms of chronic prostatitis are flaring. I am sure we've all seen several urologists who are either unable to help us, or are unwilling to push the envelope in terms of curing us.
Many urologists don't perform simple 15 second prostate expressed secretion tests, or even the four glass Stamey Mears urinalysis. This makes the identification of a bacterial culprit in some cases of prostatitis almost impossible. As a result, pain and suffering sometimes ends up being unnecessarily prolonged. Several courses of antibiotics quite often fail due to the condition either being non-infectious, or from a non-cultured bacterial species.
So, this thread should help us locate those doctors who do help. If you can, please post the information of any doctors who have either helped, or cured you. City, State, Zip Code, Name of the physician, possibly even phone number as well.

Looking for Dr's in the Texas area that do EPS secretion test and also the prostate injections. May be a long shot on the prostate injections.
May be a good idea to put the link to herman and wallace pelivc floor certified PT's.

Re: Doctors who help (in your area)
Hey CSM,
Not sure if our symptoms match up (see my original post), but I am in the GTA and have seen a bunch of uros who HAVEN'T helped:
1.) Thomas Short 2.) Munir Jamaal 3.) Toby Carnat 4.) Curtis Nickel (in kingston - this guy knows his stuff but doesn't have a solution in my case)
I have also been to Ilia Kaploun's private clinic. If you are bacterial, he should be able to help but his approach is heavy ABs combined with prostate massage. Its also not covered by OHIP (although my private insurance did cover it). He's willing to thoroughly investigate at least. Most of the uro's I have seen have given me the "theres nothing wrong", "its in your head" response because they can't see or find anything abnormal.

For those looking for a PT in Toronto, I'm working with Jessica Nargi and she seems incredibly knowledgable on the topic and has been awesome. I am still suffering but I've noticed a mild improvement.

The man is a legend. Cured me. He is best. Ive been to many.
Uses finger pressure unblocking treatment for prostate. Its a special type of massage. He developed it after lots of research and study. Treats all types of prostatitis. Has a website search fir it he describes his therapy in detail. Many youtube videos also where he explains the disease. watched his video with the English subtitles. Did you go to Greece for this? did you go through the whole 90 day process? and did it hurt when he was softening up the prostate?

Re: Doctors who help (in your area)
Dr. Pavlos Georgiabis in Athens, Greece Dr. Ilia Kaploun in Toronto, Canada
Are these the only two that are performing treatments similar to the treatments Dr. A.E. Feliciano performed? (Antibiotics in conjunction with prostate massage)

In WA state the two doctors that have helped me the most are Dr. Erik Torgerson at Swedish hospital and Dr. John Krieger at UW medical clinic. Both are located in Seattle.

Re: Doctors who help (in your area)
Please try supplement and a prescription (tamsulosin). Graminex Flower extract and Quercetin with Bromelain work excellent. My urologist in Des Moines, Ia told me. I take 1000 mg of GFPE a day and 3200mg Q with B a day and 1 tamsulosin . It took 1 week for the pain to turn into itching and 30 days the pain is gone. I buy all my products from Swanson(internet). If you find it cheaper please let me know

Re: Doctors who help (in your area)
I'm new to the forum but not the pain and discomfort. Does anyone know a good doctor who will think outside the box on this issue in the Naples, Florida area or Central NJ area? I'm 3 months in and have found little relief with conventional treatment...antibiotics, tamulosin, anti inflammatories.
