Post Prostatitis Book 2011 - New Book!
There is a new book on prostatitis, just published in 2011, by prostatitis researchers. The book is called:

Some etiopathogenetic aspects of chronic prostatitis: mycoplasmas, coryneform bacteria and oxidative stress [Paperback]

It is by Silver Türk, Tiiu Kullisaar, Paul Korrovits, Kristo Ausmees, Margus Punab, and Reet Mändar.

The link to the book on Amazon.com is:

And the link to the book on Create Space is:

The Prostatitis Foundation has been aware of most of these researchers for years and tries to help disseminate information about prostatitis.

If you are following the research being done for prostatitis the research done by the Estonians should be of interest.
So far a silver bullet to cure prostatitis has been elusive. Progress is slow. The researchers who put this work into print have made a tremendous effort to contribute to the understanding of the condition.
Prostatitis is a disease where you need to learn all you can find out on your own. There are so many different approaches to the treatment one of the many may help you.
Prevention will always be a puzzle until we know the cure.

Is this book worth purchasing? Does it mention any possible cures?

I should have been more specific. I know there is no known cure. I meant does the book contain any "remedies" that help relieve symptoms? Thanks.

It isn't all just greed and making money. AIDS got the medical fields attention back in 1980 and they are just now beginning to figure out how to stop it. It takes a lot of trial and error. There will be a lot of false runs down the wrong trails and sometimes the only thing you can do for now is treat the symptoms until they figure a way to stop this stuff. With all of the lawyers out there that want to sue every drug and drug maker out there, it is making it harder for companies to put out tens of millions of dollars in research and then lose billions because one person out of a million has a reaction to it.

It takes time to figure out a disease that many men won't even admit they have to having or are afraid to tell their doctor about, especially when the disease wants to put on multiple faces and symptoms. I know it is a painful disease. Stomach ulcers used to plague us but now they know how to fix them and stop them from returning. AIDS may soon be under control. Cancer may soon be under control so let us hope that some day soon, they will find how to bring this scourge of men under control. Unfortunately, we have to endure until then.
