Hello:

Diagnosed with chronic prostatitis after a UTI in 2015.
Also have cerebral palsy/in wheelchair.
Tried so many antibiotics/supplements and also phages.

About the only thing that seems to call things down is doxycycline 50 mg four times a day, which I am prescribed by my infectious disease doctor.

Now I am a little worried because of a cough and scratchy throat that I am becoming allergic to the antibiotic.

When I am not on an antibiotic, symptoms include difficult urination, fatigue/lethargy, extreme constipation and genital pain.

Medications like Flomax and so forth don't seem to work for me.

And when I'm not on an antibiotic, even taking a full scoop of the miralax powder doesn't seem to help me be able to have a bowel movement.

I'm kind of freaking out. My plan is to ask the infectious disease guy to maybe switch the manufacturer of the antibiotic in case what I'm becoming allergic to is one of the fillers in the particular doxycycline.
