Post subject:  A Frequent Question to the Board

One of the questions that come up (we are often asked ): -why the urine does not show that prostatitis signs are present In the urine. Even after a swab following a massage there may be no elevated white count. You can detect the frustration in a patients emails when he has the pain, frequent urges to urinate, (sexual dysfunctions- and all the symptoms that go with that) and the doctors cannot explain it

By going to Google and searching for Sterile Urine you will find an article published in European Urology . It was an HHS Public Access Article by AJ Wolfe, PhD and L.Brubaker, MD MS , published in European Urology. August 2015.02.;68(21)173-174.DOI:.1016JJURIO

Google will also help you get to an article presented at the American Urological Association last year 2019 titled, “Urine is not Sterile: What’s Next? The research was presented by Alan Wolfe PhD from Loyola and reported by Hanna Stambakio in the Uro Today Highlights.

I do as little as possible on Google, but a search on DuckDuckGo.com

Brought up this article:

https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... f_Bacteria

I used the search terms:

Sterile Urine - European Urology
August 2015

AJ Wolfe, PhD and L.Brubaker, MD MS

I hope this helps!
