I am a geneticist so this is why I looked for this type of testing. The thing is culture or urine and semen is inherently poor diagnostically, not just for prostatitis but also for chronic UTI especially in women. DNA profiling is much more sensitive especially after massage. It might be good to have this discussed on the site as it might help others?

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I got a positive result from this testing and am now on a different course of antibiotics as serrate are resistant to the last 4 antibiotics I have been given.

How can DNA profiling help to identify and kill the pathogens? Is the DNA profiling made to the person or to the pathogens themselves?
