 Getting SOME answers (I think)
I'm starting to think my issue is strictly a pelvic muscle problem. I've been under a LOT of stress lately and had a nasty flare up. Saw my urologist Friday and we talked for a long time. Wanted to prescribe 24 hr Cialis. I initially agreed but after seeing the possible side effects I called back and said no. However, he examined my prostate and said it was fine and urine and blood work are OK as well. Interestingly (and this happened the last exam also), immediately after DRE lasting no more than 90 seconds, my symptoms start to ease and by the time I got home (he's about an hour away), I felt almost "normal". So, as I see it, I'm either extremely tense and tight or the Dr just touching my prostate (a mini massage?) eases my symptoms. Confused but feeling a bit better. Hope all are well. BTW, I asked about prostate massage as a treatment and Dr said he rarely does them. I have a feeling I can talk him into it if (or should I say when?) I have a another flare up.

One thing that helped me a bit was ionic magnesium, it relaxes the muscles down there and my symptoms eased. It's called ReMag if anyone is interested. Although things got better with it, I was still not 100%.

I agree magnesium is v. good for tense muscles and can help anxiety/ sleep. It combines well with ashwagandha which is good for the same things, but also is anti-inflammatory.
