Anyone tried the Larry King endorsed Prostagenix? It's meant for BPH but active ingredient betasterol is a tier II treatment for prostatitis. It acts like a natural alpha-blocker to improve flow but I'm hoping it might relieve inflammation and hene psain from prostatitis. Hoping someone has tried it before I cough up ye more $ on this horrible disease.

Rocky I started taking Beta Sitosterol about 3 weeks ago. Not the Larry King endorsed brand. I began with 60mg twice per day the 1st 2 weeks, then increased to 120mg twice per day and I’ll stay on that dose another week before deciding if I want to increase it. My opinion is it’s helping with urinary flow, but it’s a slow improvement. There are several brands by reliable companies much cheaper than the one you are asking about, and the only ingredient that’s actually been tested with lab results to back it up is just Beta Sitosterol. So that’s all you need to pay for, unless you just want to help out Larry King.

Thx Macap. I've actually tried another product that had beta-sitasterol and it didn't do much for me. The theory or marketing behind Prostagenix is that it is a higher quality/purest form available, backed by lab testing, but I agree it's pricey, and not everyone sees results. I also agree, it's meant mainly to improve flow, so unclear whether it would reduce prostate pain due to inflammation too. I'm hoping someone on the forum has had success with this stuff.

Rocky it does help with inflammation but it’s slow going. It’s not going to be something where there’s a dramatic improvement in a short period of time so many people probably give it a month or less and quit. I’m approaching it as a 6 month test and since it doesn’t appear to have any negative effects I’ll stay with it. It’s a fairly cheap supplement unless you’re going the Larry King road. At the moment I’m happy with the results but hope for more.

well avoid the Larry Kingberg brand, he doesn't need the money.

A while ago I was browsing the "male" section at my local Whole Foods Market". My gosh I lost count on the amount of products, which, in my opinion are snake oil.
