Post Results from DNA testing,
Hi,

I just got the DNA sequencing results back. I didn't use the microgen dx that is quite popular on this forum lately, but used Aperiomics, which is kinda the same.
I highly suspect my prostatitis (that has been going on for about 10 months) is caused by bacteria as it all started after I got unprotected oral sex from some random girl. I tested negative in all possible STD tests and had urine/semen/EPS culture come back negative multiple times. So DNA testing was the last resort for me.
I've already been on a few round of antibiotics, including Rocephin + Azithromycin (1 doze), 1 months of Doxycycline, 6 weeks of Cipro. Each time the symptoms improved majorly but they always come back when I stop the antibiotic.

I'm meeting with an ID specialist (which is supposed to be the best in my country) in a few days to go over the results. I'll keep you all updated.
If anyone have something to say about the results, I'll be happy to hear.

I submitted urine, semen and EPS samples to them and got the following results:

Semen
No microorganismes found.
They said that is quite usual in semen samples, as there is too much human DNA in the sample and it's very hard to identify any other organismes.

EPS
Fungi - Malassezia globosa (0.3%, Known Pathogen)
Bacteria - Corynebacterium pseudogenitalium (35.57%), Corynebacterium tuberculostearicum (18.98%), Prevotella copri (14.21%), Mycobacterium mucogenicum (5.11%, Known Pathogen)

Urine

Bacteria - Staphylococcus epidermidis (72.16%, Known Pathogen), Corynebacterium pseudogenitalium (13.44%), Corynebacterium tuberculostearicum (6.79%)

So how are these results interpreted? Are these bacteria commonly found in the body anyhow? I don’t see the feared UU or Mycoplasma Gen so are you concluding that perhaps the event you reference may not in fact been the cause?

Well, I'm back from the ID specialist.
He said that the results looks ok and there is nothing he can do with it, Most of the bacteria is commonly found in the body. he said the mycobacterium looks kinda strange but he wouldn't do anything about it..

If I were you I would get a second opinion.

I have come to realize most doctors have no idea about prostatitis - not even half the Uro's out there are worth their salt.

That's very interesting information. You are the only person I can find that has actually used this company for pathogen identification with prostatitis symptoms.
I am new to the forum, I was looking at your earlier post with your symptoms and how it all began.

You say you tested positive for a bacterial infection with your chinese kit before taking the aperiomics test. Did you get treated for this ? Did you get the all clear with this bacteria before taking the USA test ?

Did the aperiomics test pick it
I am.about to push the button on it myself for the same samples. I am absolutely shocked to hear the results and your doctors plan of action. I expected this test to solve it.

Please message me I would like to hear how what further progress you have had.
