Post Booked a flight next month to the Philippines for treatment
I have been contacted with a clinic in Makati , PI. I booked a flight for next month. I will keep you guys posted of the treatment. I have had reoccurring prostatitis for about 10 years. I would take cipro or doxy and it would go away then return. I'm hoping to have some success with their treatment plan.

Just had my consultation and testing. Tested prostate fluid and urine. prostate fluid had a high amount of fungus they are putting me on anti-fungal 7 day course. I have to wait for result of the culture in regards to the bacteria but my WBC was high in the fluid.

Wow, awesome. Can you ask them what kind of test they ran to determine it was fungal? Was it a standard PCR test? It'd be so good to know what kind of test it was, could help a lot of us.

Sure ya I think that was it but ill make sure. They test as they go they have lab inside facility to see if drugs and massage is working. He actually show me the count of WBC and Fungus. Im on Itraconazole now. It was depressing on how much more informed they are on this matter than in the states. My bouts started 10 years ago. He said at my age 30 my prostate should be soft but its rubbery on one side due to this ongoing issue. He is hoping with the massage and correct course can still heal. Im pretty excited to see what monsters been inside me this whole time lol

Ok so the test that showed the yeast was gram stain where they pressed urethra onto the slide. After 1 day of the anti fungal my yeast went down by like 40 points. Today was second massage with testing. WBC went up he says this is normal because they are getting deeper into the prostate every massage. He expects it to keep going up till I go on the antibiotic with massage therapy.

prostate massage and antibiotic therapy is a good combination in dealing with bacterial prostatitis. This is the same approach of treatment I undergo here in Toronto. The clinic of Dr. Feliciano there in the Philippines is connected with the clinic here in Toronto. I'm so blessed that there is this kind of clinic here in my city. It's been 1 year and 5 months since my last bout with prostatitis. My last visit was 3 weeks ago and everything is pretty normal now, no more inflammation in the prostate, no more presence of WBC in my prostate fluid and no more infection. Thank GOD I'm 98% symptom free now and living a normal life. I advise you to complete the course of treatment and follow their diet advise. You must avoid those foods that they want you to avoid and live a healthy lifestyle. One day you will realize prostatitis is just part of your past. Good luck and keep us posted.

Oh interesting ! thats good to hear thank you! This clinic is actually not affliated with dr feliciano but I think they use a similar method. Pricing is around 300 usd for initial testing and 50 usd per massage. The antibiotics are fairly cheap here in PI. For anyone looking for clinic info. Its in the nice part of town. Im enjoying my stay so far hoping everything works out

Ok I will continue today I had my 4th massage. Started antibiotics 2 days ago. The urethral smear showed no bacteria so I was informed by the doctor this is a sign antibiotics are working I feel much better and currently my symptoms went down. However, my WBC has went up last week it ranged from 40-50 and now its 82 I was informed this is because we are now getting deeper into the prostate and it could still go higher due to more junk being drained out. Also with the start of antibiotics my yeast has went up. Initially started at 116 after antifungal got down to 20's and now that i started antibiotic it went up to 60. I was informed this is due to antibiotic he said after treatment of the bacteria we will start anti-fungal course alone. I actually feel great right now libido is excellent and no real symptoms. I still have 3 more weeks of massages and antibiotics so Im hoping we will be able to penetrate the prostate and the WBC will go down thats the real goal with all this.

This was the same treatment I had here in Toronto. My uro prescribed Bactrim for 8 weeks and Doxy for 4 weeks and prostate massage once a week while I was in antibiotics. After cocktail of antibiotics he finished the treatment with 8 weeks of anti fungal (fluconazole). My Uro said it is useless to do antifungal while prostate is severely inflamed and highly congested because anti fungal drug wont be able to penetrate the prostate that's why anti fungal is always at the end part of treatment. It is very important for you to avoid sugar even you feel 100% recovered. I'm not sure if the doc there in PI will recommend anti candida supplement after your treatment but these supplements are very important in keeping your candida under control. If you want some advise later on about supplements after your treatment please let me know.
Where do you stay in PI? Is it in Makati? And who is your doc ? I grew up there in PI actually. Enjoy your stay there just be careful with thieves. Just stay in places like Makati where it is more safe.

Sounds good man Ill pm you dont want to be "promoting or advertising on here" lol Its hard right now to eat no sugar can't really cook here but I most likely will have to clean up diet towards the end. Im glad the yeast dropped though just by taking anti fungal but ya Id love some diet advice post treatment. Yeah my bacteria was resistant to bactrim and doxy must of been why it would keep coming back.Today had my 5th massage WBC still high which I was informed is a good sign said should stay high for a bit till it drops body and antibiotics has to fight infection

tehdude, please keep the updates coming bro, really appreciate it man. When they do the prostate massage on you, do they force ejaculate out each time like an EPS? Just curious.

I second what Inflamed asked.

Trying to figure out the difference between the Toronto clinic, this Philippines one, and Greek one. Does Ilia force liquid out with each massage as well?

Best way I can explain the massage is its kind of like a taping technique. He doesn't force it out he finishes the massage and then lets it drip out. No ejaculate comes out just prostate fluid. My fluid has been going up and up since start of treatment which Im informed is a good sign. Basically describes it like a sponge has to be wrung out as its being wrung out more WBC's come in to fight infection plus the antibiotics hopefully get in. Thats why my WBC has been going up. They have me on 4 massages a week due to me being here only 6 weeks I couldn't take anymore time off. He said some people with very bad cases can stay up to 3 months and come back for maintenance.

The purpose of prostate massage is to extract the EPS. This will help the prostate to become less congested for better penetration of antibiotics. When the prostate is inflamed it become highly congested making it hard for abx to penetrate the prostate. I read in an article that prostate massage can also destroy the biofilm formed by bacteria during the infection that protect them from the effects of abx. Not sure how true is this. Presence of high amount of WBC especially clumps of WBC is definitely a sign of infection. WBC clumps together to fight the infection. When I was undergoing treatment I was never tested positive for any causative agent. The only indication I had was presence of clumps of WBC in my EPS. During that time my prostate was so congested that even just a little push in my prostate during a massage I squirt a lot of prostatic fluids. I SQUIRT LIKE A PORN STAR. LOL!!! Now that my prostate is normal and dry it's hard to extract the fluid. Ilya does a massage for more than a minute and applied more force and yet very little amount of fluid came out which is actually a good sign. My EPS is now clear and no more WBC. Ilya is very thorough. He wants me to see him every 5 months but I insisted to see him every 3 months just to have a peace of mind. I get paranoid sometimes. I'm just so blessed that I work accross the street from his clinic so it is very convenient for me. No urologist here in Toronto do the prostate massage or this kind of treament. Only very few of them worldwide.

Hey Yakuh,

It's kind of hard to tell with me. Lately, I seem to have flare ups when I am slightly constipated. It's like once fecal matter hits a certain spot in my colon, the prostate inflammation and symptoms reoccur. My psa has been a steady 2.8 for a while now, so there's definitely something still going on. I've also had some burning and pain sensations when defecating as of late, so maybe hemorrhoids? I don't know.

The diflucan for 3 weeks helped clear up 75% of the prostate symptoms for a while, but I think it's still possibly bacterial. My girlfriend was treated with the anti-fungal routine as well. When we had unprotected sex again after that, I still ended up with what felt like another un-culturable uti for about 10 days. So whatever is going on, it may not be candida.

I am probably going to get a PCR semen analysis if I can, just for peace of mind. I have a sneaking suspicion it might be mycoplasma / ureaplasma since I was tested for everything but that, which requires pcr testing.

They testing mine for mycoplasma and ureaplasma as well. None have grown so far they said could take 10-14 days to grow. I was informed that bacteria is more rare.

So today had another massage followed by a trans rectal ultrasound wasn't too fun but informative haha. They were able to identify that there was more inflammation on the left side of my prostate than the right. Also I have a little bit of calcified stones but he said shouldn't be anything to worry about its common in most people mine were tiny. I was also informed that my seminal ducts had a little bit of blockage. He recommended to ejaculate more. I actually was only masturbating once or twice a week prior to the treatment. On side note what i've noticed now when I ejaculate after its more liquid and there's more volume prior to treatment it was very thick. I feel pretty good I don't really have too many symptoms at this point just slightly increased urgency especially after masturbating or massage I want to urinate more.

Hey teddude, do they think you'll be good to go within the 6 weeks you're there? Have you thought about figuring out the prostate massage thing after you leave? Prostate454 has had some success in the self massage arena, he's got some good posts.

tehdude, almost forgot to ask, what are the strengths of the meds you're taking in mg?

I have itra, my doc said 200mg per day. From what I've been reading, it's highly effective in reducing psa, especially in cancer patients. So, it must penetrate the prostate decently, either that, or it has some other effect that serves to reduce psa.

Very cool that your testing showed declines in EPS prostatic yeast counts while on the itra!

Inflamed, are you state side? I would think if you try a new Anti-fungal, you should do it with massages concurrently...perhaps Ilia...to maximize medicine entering prostate and blow away all of it.
