 Treatment Protocols for Prostatis
I think that like a lot of people on these boards, I have been confused by the condition and doctors and have struggled to cure my condition with the urologists I have seen.
I am now resolved to take an empirical approach to solving the issue.
I would be really appreciative if you could comment on the below approach.
Phase 1 (Alternative Approach): - Core body exercises (pilates / yoga) to assess whether stronger abdomen relieves pressure on bladder / prostate. - Diet change, remove alcohol, caffeine, cigarettes. Increase fibre intake. - Drink 3 litres of water daily. - Take daily probiotic supplements. - Monthly colonic hydrotherapy (after an experience where symptoms were reduced after 2 sessions - although they returned with greater severity a few days later).
Phase 2 (Orthodox Approach): Although I have had courses of both Cipro and Metronidazole before (which did not work), if Phase 1 is not effective, I propose to: - Visit a US clinic (I live in Africa), such as the Cleveland Clinic which looks good. - Have seminal fluid screened for bacteria etc - Take tailored antibiotics for as long as prescription lasts.
Phase 3: (Candida diet) Observe a Candida diet to assess whether alternative reports of Candida being a driver of prostatitis could be true in my instance.
Phase 4 (Manilla Protocol): If phase 2 does not work, try the injections to the prostate approach (although I read that this can in fact make things worse).
Does the above sound crazy? I really want to kick this thing.
Thanks in advance.

 Re: Treatment Protocols for Prostatis
I had a measure of success with #3 on your list, the Candida Diet, when I tried this for a 3/4 month period last year.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of willpower I have started consuming sugar again but the return of a few symptoms merely confirms the effectiveness of the diet!
