Hi Nick,

Have you read my thread?

Fixing the problem usually requires three things to happen in the following order

1. Muscle Scar Tissue to be removed - This is done by a Sports Masseur, Tui Na specialist etc. This is because unhealthy muscle tissue becomes short and fibrous and lack blood supply. By massaging these area's, blood supply is increased and healthy muscle is regrown.

2. Spinal Alignment - This is usually done by an Osteopath or Chiropractor - To have a healthy body, your spine has to be in alignment. This ensures a functioning nervous system and a good, functional muscular system.

3. Muscle Rehabilitation - This is usually done by a Physio, Personal Trainer, Pilates instructor, etc - This ensures that the right muscles are strong and doing their jobs which allows the compensatory muscles to relax.

So in short you need to find 3 AMAZING specialists.

Start with a Sports Massuer who will remove scar tissue around the main muscles around the pelvis and lower back.

In all regards, try to get recommendations from friends or other people before starting treatment.

As with all professions, 5 in 100 will be great, 20 will be good, 60 will be competent and 15 will be dangerous.

Get recommendations first.

Don't give up. Keep educating yourself.

I have come back from spending a year lying on the floor with pain and problems throughout my body. Many, many times I felt like there was no hope and giving up. But by fighting and working hard, little breakthroughs started to happen.

You are going to have to start managing this situation yourself. No one knows everything so you will have to pick and choose the advice you follow.

Good luck

I imagine yoga isn't ideal as a lot of your muscles might contain scar tissue and will go into spasm quite easily.

Massage and swimming front crawl would help.

England and Sailing Wave, I share your pain.
I tried to post details of my experience but after 30 mins of typing the post vanished. Maybe because I have just registered.

In short, after GP, Urologist and Pain specialist I finally visited a Psychologist with expertise in pain management. Only initial cosultation so far but she reccomended I buy a book called "Manage Your Pain". Paperback version is quite cheap on Amazon.

Just started reading it but seems quite good. Just the act of reading it seems to help if that makes sense.

Anyway, I will have another attempt at posting my journey again soon.

We are not alone.

Guys how is everyone??

Sorry for my recent lack of posts ive had all sorts going on....

Ok, so i went to see a chiropractor at a local private hospital, who gave me a quick evaluation and said my body and spine was out of alignment. I mentioned the pudendal nerve issues and he dismissed the idea, saying that would not cause my symptoms? I backed away from the bloke as i diddnt feel he would do me any good.

Went back to my Rheumatologist and discussed the results from my previous visit. He found no significant injuries from the MRI, only "minor degenerate change". I spoke of my visit to the chiropractor and he agreed he was just after money. So he has arranged a pain management referal with the intention of getting the nerve blocked. But......he also booked me into the army physiotherapy hospital for rehabilitation for a period of 3 weeks. He too believes it may be nerve related. But did insist that the pain im experiencing is prostate.

Right, so after my first Chiropractor visit i looked around and have now found a good chiropractor that my gilfriends father uses, and im going to try her instead. She is based in South London. Appointment TBC

I should have listened to David. I have been swimming everyother day, and do around 50 laps of a 20M pool, switching from breaststroke to front crawl.......and boooooom, my left testicle left buttock left leg and lower left back is in real bad pain. Tearful almost. Radiating lower back pain similar to sciatica down my entire left side. Infact my problems have majorly been located down my left side?

So i switched up to only front crawl, but sadly this pain is lingering. So..... i thought lastnite i would give the pilates class that runs at my gym a go. My girlfriend came to the class with me, and the doctor/rhue and physio said it would do me some good. Damn, ho wrong was they. Legs weak and shaking, pain in lower left back, testicle ache you name it this morning. Ive not done meself any favors whatsoever.

Syptoms: Lower left radiating pain / left testicle ache / burning legs and discomfort. Urethral discharge with bowel movements.

I hope everyone is doing as well as they can be. Im back up and online now. Please post up and let us know how everyone is.

Ohh and for the record. I think we should all be listening to David, and start doing this for ourselves. As my route through and to the end with the medical professionals, has just about come to an end.

All the best guys

Hello England,

I had pain in both my legs 24 7 and feet always cold along with the pain in the testicles all so. I never had pain in the back. Have you ask the urologist to do a spermatic cord block at the pubic tubercle area. If the spermatic cord area is the problem the pain will be reduced or completely gone by this test. In my case after 12 hours the pain was 100% gone for 12 hours. I went ahead and had microsurgical denervation of the spermatic cord. I had it on May 29 2013. The doctor said my recovery will be a little longer because of blood thinners I am taken. Well no more pain in the leg and the ping ball size feeling in my prostate is gone. I have reduce my pain meds by 75%. I feel like a new man.

I pray that God heal you and everyone on this blog

Michael

Shaky mate i hope you are well.

Ive had so many cultures/urine cultures/semen cultures/forced prostatic fluid cultures.......over a period of 2years. If it is an infection, and i doubt it is, it would have been found by now. Agreed it may be a infectious organism yet to be identified, but failing that and with the absence of discharge other than with a bowel movement, i have to dismiss this route man. What else can i do?

All my best man, hope you find relief soon

Madcap, hey mate, how are you getting along?

Apologies for my absence on here, just been trying to heal up, but sadly not much is working.
Ive completely changed my diet to only fresh foods for the past 4 weeks, fruit vegetables nuts and seeds etc. No rubbish and plenty of water. Hitting the gym hard, well as hard as i can. But feels like im climbing a never ending road........even hot baths have started to not work.

Hope your well man,

all my best

Michael, appreciate the comments mate,

wow thats so promising, well done you mate on the recovery! I will certainly look into this, not anything that i have heard of before. Was your pain in one testicle? I have a lump of scar tissue that aches me sometimes, from previous epididymal cyst removal. But from my lower back to my legs a dull dull throbb throbb pain, almost making you feel nauseous followed but the odd testic sharp stab. Ahh you guys know what i mean, its like a pain where no matter how much you prob and try to find......you just cant find it. My lower back is killing me right now, il pop back on later i need a few amitriptyline and naproxen.

word of advice DONT try pilates if your legs are aching and giving you bother. I walked out the lesson feeling refreshed, 30mins later i feel like a cripple who needs a walking stick and a bowel of soup! :D

Glad you posted Michael thanks mate.

all my best

Hell Shaky,

Check the spermatic cord. I had Microsurgical Denervation of the Spermatic Cords. The urologist did a spermatic cord block at the pubic tubercle area. About 12 hours later I was pain free for 12 hours. So I had the surgery. I am 75% pain free. http://prostatitis.org/redirect.php?lin ... MC3126083/

http://prostatitis.org/redirect.php?lin ... 174504.pdf

It the block didn't work the surgery will not work or help in any way. And yes to your question, that why you should check the spermatic cords.

May God Heal you,

1. Deep Tissue Sports Massage to remove fibrous muscle tissue and adhesions, particularly around the neck, lower back and pelvis.

2. Spinal Re-alignment (neck, jaw, pelvis, etc)

Breast stroke irritates things because you are stressing the Sacro-Iliac Joints in the pelvis. Front Crawl is much kinder.

Pilates will irritate your pelvic floor. You need to remove the scar tissue first and get some alignment. You are tensing already tense muscles.

Keep seeing people, asking questions and fighting to get better.

I know you will.

On the other hand I've had pain running into my left testicle and in my left groin.

It lasted about 12 months but went once my pelvis started to get straight.

I'm not doubting the advice just always wary of surgery. You can't go back.

Right guys im all booked for the Chiropractor this coming Monday 5th Aug. Spoke to the practitioner there, a lady. Very knowledgable, explained what has been going on. She was very positive and said ive come to the right place.
Even going as far to say check this " il have you pain free by wednesday lol! I did chuckle, but she said she is seeing more and more gentlemen with prostate issues accompanied with leg pains/back pains etc.

The cost £50 initial digital scan and history 1hr, includes follow up appointment 45mins. Sessions thereafter £30.
Very reasonable id say! ;)

Im not even going to say this is for everyone, but its a little ray of hope, and il happily chance a lighter wallet for even the slightest improvement.

England, whatever the cost if there is even the slightest chance it might make you feel better its worth it. We have to be open to any and all treatment options. If they help or not, either way we need the information available to the members. I pray this works for you because you have suffered way too long. Please let us know how it goes!

Hi England,

I also recommend a trip to Profeet in Cambden.

They will look at your feet and bio-mechanics to see if any of it's coming from there.

Just spent an hour with one of the best Spinal Specialists in Europe (can't reveal name unfortunately).

He agreed that he thinks the Pudendal nerve is the cause in a very large number of Non-Bacterial cases.

When he fixes their spine, the Prostatitis goes and the erections come back.
