Post subject:  Frequent urination problems

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me

My story is I took Xanax for meny years and the last few years I started to dribble urine and sometimes pee on my boxers after I left the toilet, so 14 months ago I came off the benzo and for the last 14 months I've had a strange feeling sometimes pain in my genitals also I have to pee every hour and i never feel completely empty, I've had this urination problem ever single day for 14 months with no normal days, I got the book headache in the pelvis and I just ordered a therawand because doctors only give me antibiotics that don't work, so can someone here tell me what is causing these frequent bladder urges with a week stream sometimes and dribbling, I don't have a enlarged prostate

Sounds like prostatitis. Did your doctor do a semen culture or prostate fluid culture to test for bacteria?

If your prostate is not enlarged at all then I would trend toward pelvic floor dysfunction (why else would you have to pretend so often if there was not mechanical interference from the prostate?). Try out the therawand and also seek out a pelvic PT and give it a go for a few sessions.

Should rule out bacteria first, and then try for pelvic floor dysfunction.

Yes there is no bacteria, so can any meds help?

I heard alot of men have found some relief with amitriptyline?

Look into Flomax (tamsulosin). Pelvic PT may help, but be ready to do more than simply receive massage.
