Prostatitis at night well laying down trying to fall alseep?
Has anyone had any problems with this at night , more specificially while layingdown trying to fall asleep? Im 31 years old and a few years ago i started having frequent urination only at bedtime. After seeing a specialist and getting a cystoscopy i was told that i might have non-baterial prostatitis. Since then i feel like I have been fighting for my life. Been through a couple months of ciprofloxacin and saw palametto. These have not really helped. I have to take a nerve medicine called gapapentin at night just to get past the pain in my lower ab. Usually , i can get 4hrs of medicated sleep if im lucky. These sleepness nights are diminishing my wellbeing and will to live. I usually get woken up with that feeling of having to pee and after i pee I have pain in my lower ab again. Without medication i feel doomed! Sometimes that pain is followed by chlls and fever. I dont have any problems upright during the day. It almost feels like the nerves around the prostate are hitting it somehow when i lay down. Not sure if i can live with this. Has anyone out there had something like this? Any help would be really great. thanks for reading this. William.

Please read my post. 6 months It took me to get rid of the pain. It requires not stepping but jumping out of ones comfort zone.

For a little relief when it is at its worst try a slant board or inversion table. Or raise one end of your couch or bed on blocks and lay with your feet on the high end and head at the low end; that is not a final solution but in some cases it lets the pressure off the prostate. keep looking for another mode of treatment although the one you had is the general method used, I believe.
