Using condoms only here, sucks, but what can you do? Her tests came back negative for everything. I'm thinking my immune system is probably just screwed up. Lack of enough good penile flora, or something like that.

You were having unprotected for a while though, with no effect on her right? Also, your exposure was vaginal if I'm not mistaken, a bit different than mine so maybe that has something to do with it. Out of curiosity, you mentioned getting a uti. Since I've never had one, and I am constantly on the lookout, what were the symptoms of that? Was it unmistakable? For me, I didn't drink water one night for over 10 hours and my urine was cloudy the next morning. I freaked out thinking uti, but it cleared right up after drinking water, and I never had any burning. Just curious as recurring uti's are a symptom of bacterial vs non-bacterial. Plus I'm 17 weeks past my exposure so I'd like to think that if I was going to get a uti, I'd already know all about it.

Here's a list of common UTI bacteria that can be passed through sex. Feel free to google it. Most of these live fine in the stomach but when they get into our reproductive parts they reek havoc. Your body fights it off that's why we have the WBC. Women have an easier time clearing them out since they have no prostate. But if you have had your semen and prostate fluid tested and you are having constant sex with the wife there's a chance can be passed on. There's no clear answer across the board depends what bacteria you have and also your immune system. Our immune system keeps most of this stuff at bay. When we get older the symptoms get worse.

Escherichia coli
Klebsiella pneumoniae
Streptococcus spp.
Staphylococcus epidermidis
Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Enterococcus spp.

Prostate454 above had ecoli and Enterococcus in semen and has had lots of sex with his wife with no issues. I would think if it were the other way around, lots of fellas on here would be losing their minds about passing something along. I'm hoping not to be the first.

I only had a very, very brief oral exposure, with zero urinary problems, only pain. I'm hoping I can attribute mine to anxiety overload muscle tension with affects on the nerves. I had sex with my wife after the all clear for std tests and didn't have an issue. That's before I knew about prostatitis though and I haven't done that since so I'm a little scared.

I stepped out and picked up an antibiotic resistant mycoplasma hominis and ureaplasma urealyctim.

Sex with wife 4 times before I knew what was wrong with me.

I have had her get 3 high vaginal swabs and all came back negative for her.

Although the MH/UU has been cleared, I still am having some trouble with prostatitis so still using condoms.

I have only one positive result of Enterococcus Faecalis.
I tried amoxicillin in January. Didn't help any.
I don't have sex so often with my wife (every other month?)
We had sex about 2 month ago and 1,5 week after she experienced some kind of UTI.
She had a urine test, that was messed up, no results. she got penicillin for a week that didn't clear things up, she got better, but then worse again.
She went to the dr and had a swab. It came back positive for Gardnerella Vaginalis. She got Flagyl sups, but it doesn't seem to work (I think they cultured I have also started with Flagyl. doesn't seem to help me either. So, I wonder if it is that EF that is the real reason.
I've had the prostatitis for 3 years. She has not had any major problems before (but maybe felt a little more frequency before? hard to say)
Maybe it has accumulated in me over time and that time 2 month ago she was stressed out and it got transmitted? Who knows.
I regret not using protection, but my wife doesn't want to use it and the uros says it doesn't transmit.
More tests are needed.
