Post It's been 2 years of pain.
I don't understand what's going on with my body.

I was diagnosed with prostatitis shortly after being treated for Chlamydia, which I had for several months without knowing.

I've consistently had testicle pain, pain in my gooch area, and tip of penis pain for over 2 years now, but I've tested negative for STD tests. What is causing this pain?

Doxy used to relieve symptoms, now it makes the pain worse.

The only thing I still haven't had done is a semen culture because my insurance sucks right now and I don't have a lot of money to visit a specialist. But even then it seems like those don't help more often than not. I'm 23 and was diagnosed with this at 20, I'm supposed to be in my prime but instead I deal with chronic pain.

I'm just very down today. My symptoms had finally become relatively mild with time, albeit still there, only for them to flare back up again after a round of doxy.

I don't think anyone can really say why this is happening, you might get the EPS test done. However, I'd recommend two things;

1. A fish and white meat based paleo diet that focuses on vegetables, fruits, seeds, nuts, and removes grains, dairy, and all refined sugars. This is to strengthen your immune system and reduces inflammation. I'd also take omega3 high EPA dha dose every day, curcumin is also very good.

2. Some kind of immune boosting herb. I'm a fan of the medicinal mushrooms like reishi or cordyceps. These herbs activate your immune system.

You could also consider going to see a Chinese or Ayurvedic doctor in your area instead. Also, exercise, do yoga or something similar, and drink adequate water.

Only been 9 months for me. Tested positive for mycoplasma and candida originally.....but negative now, yet penile tip and head are red and irritated. Those are really my only symptoms. Guess i shouldnt complaint, no pain really.
either what we had is in prostate now and not being detected by testing....or what we had caused another reaction that persists even after we eradicated original cause.....or what we tested positive for isnt related at all to prostititis.
Who knows....

Left over damage from the initial infection probably. Live healthy and relax and you'll see improvements with time.

I suggests you go to a specialist who has interests and knowledge in treating chronic prostatitis in your area. A doctor who can do a complete urologic examination which includes but not limited to transrectal ultrasound and EPS exam. Not all Urologists are knowledgeable with this complex condition. Choose the right one to avoid wasting time and money. Doxycycline is one drug of choice for this condition but some bacterial pathogen can develop resistance. Bactrim is another drug of choice that is effective in treating prostatitis with a much lesser side effects. Avoid CIPROFLOXACIN and other quinolone drugs at any cost. It is possible that you still have an infection causing you to manifests different symptoms. Additional tests may prove that. I agree with Chris about the diet. Diet played a vital role in effectively managing my symptoms without any flare ups in the past 8 months mostly between 95-98% symptom free. I understand that you don't have a lot of money to spend right now but hopefully you can figure out something, probably you can ask financial help from families and friends, use credit cards, take a loan etc. You are still young and has still a lot of good things ahead of you.
PM me if you have some questions with diet modification, guidance with your treatment, emotional support etc. My case is bacterial cause so I maybe able to share some valuable info.
