Post been told not got prostatitis
Hello
For 17 years I have been under the impression that I had prostatitis, the first time I was diagnosed the specialist said I had prostatitis and put me on a long term course of ciproxin 500mg a day for 1 ½ years and my symptoms eventually went away, but over the coming years I have had flare ups, I never had any pain, only burning feeling and frequency, over the years I have had 2 cycopies and more short term courses of ciproxin
In 2015 I thought I had a other flare up, frequency burning and feeling of wanting to pee, in November of last year I had a cystoscopy with hydro distention and bladder biopsy, yesterday I finally got the results typical NHS waiting time, I am told from the bladder biopsy I have interstitial cystitis, from one incurable illness prostatitis to another incurable illness interstitial cystitis, I am now waiting to have bladder instillations
People who think they might have prostatitis could have interstitial cystitis, the symptoms are the same
