I haven't but I have been looking for one. Unfortunately the place I know of that has it requires a whole expensive gym membership.

I wonder if an infrared wand would have any effect. Physical therapists and chiro's sometimes have these, they're supposed to heat below the skin, kind of like ultrasound.

Does your city have a specific infrared sauna facility or is it part of larger gym or spa type place? I'm trying to figure out where else I can look.

Also how much does it cost? I just found one for $55 which seems high.

I searched for infrared saunas online and actually found a portable one for about $250 that's just large enough for you to sit in http://prostatitis.org/redirect.php?lin ... B000ZGQUJO . If it really works it might be a good investment. I went to a uro who is considered the best erection specialist and he told me to do hot baths for 3 months and it's better than any medicine.

My only doubt about that is I was using hot tubs on vacation when this all started so if heat alone could help my particular case it should have helped then. But you may respond better and maybe infrared is different.

Seems to be a bunch of yoga studio/naturopathic clinics that have them in Toronto. $30 a pop for a session or 5 sessions for $100. Not an expert on the science of it but suppose to be different than regular heat.

Back when I was in HS I tore my psoas muscle in track and field so had to do quite a bit of PT for my hip. One of the things they did was the ultrasound wand and it was awesome, I always felt better afterwards. I often wish there was a rectal ultrasound device where you could do the same thing to the whole internal pelvic area. I bet it would provide very good temporary relief.

There is this 'sonic prostate massager'. I'm not sure if it is actually ultrasound but the site claims it's designed by a uro and the vibrations tailored to move fluid. I don't know if any of that is legit, though. I know ultrasound is capable of creating some warmth in the tissues but that's it so it seems a bit suspect they were able to find some vibration that makes the fluid move around.

Hey - I've had 2 so far. Relaxing experience, basically the exact same thing as a normal sauna in terms of the logistics and perceived experience. Can't say I've noticed a huge benefit thus far but I'm going to give it 5-10 tries before I pass a final judgement.

I was wondering, the portable infrared sauna mentioned here, are that the ones like described at small portable infrared saunas?

They seem pretty reasonably priced but it looks to me that they are really small. If you are a tall person, wouldn't you be sitting with your shoulders pressed against the top?
