Post subject:  Some observations about non bacterial Prostatitis.

I suffered for about 6 months. Six months which changed the course of my life. In the end I self diagnosed the problem and got an opinion from another doctor. Inflammation and an over active immune system are, I believe the causes of non bacterial Prostatitis. I strongly believe IBS is linked to Prostatitis too.
Prostatitis of this type is a marker of underlying stress, both physical and mental. However, when I finally understood the mechanism of Prostatitis it was something I could get over. Exercise, anti inflammatory drugs and time worked. I still get an occasional bit of discomfort- cycle saddles are a no-go zone but a hit of Ibuprofen and rest solves the problem.
