Having had surgery for a tightening of the bladder neck for the second time, I am unfortunately recovering from post surgical prostatitis for the second time. That said, it's about 60% better after 8 months, not unlike last time. It'll probably be a few months yet before it really settles though.
Prostatitis is a common condition which may be caused by a number of things and which may require a number of different treatments. In addition, most cases tend to get better over a period of months to a few years according to research. There are no miracle cures.
It can be hard to deal with, but it will get better over time. In terms of treatment, avoid things that sound too good to be true because, frankly, they are. No, Eastern European or Chinese doctors sticking needles in an already inflamed organ will not help. Neither will Indian powders, mysterious supplements, bizarre massage devices, or ant other woo woo.
On the other hand, injections carried out by reputable doctors may help. Physics therapy may help. Some supplements may help. Just be cautious.
